The Role

 

The Grower Liaison manages the general product supply and grower support relations of Coke Farm. This position targets outbound prospecting of new growers and inbound interest of Coke Farm. Maintain organizational knowledge and serve as a repository of historical, contextual, and operational information. The Quality Assurance Tech is responsible for checking new and old products that come into the warehouse—making sure it’s up to Coke Farm standards and able to hold up during transits to our customers in different regions.

 

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

 

Grower Responsibility Focus

  • Facilitate Grower Onboarding process
    • Schedule initial onsite meetings, process agreements, explain Coke Farm processes
    • Create new growers in database and generate grower identification number.
  • Communicate with growers about products, specifications, sales, quality inspection assessments, and customer returns.
    • Specifically, regarding returned, rejected and lower-quality products.
  • Schedule grower ranch visits to update crop plan and continuously maintain relationships.
  • Oversee and contact various growers for daily and weekly harvest estimates and ETA’s for continuous product flow.
  • Distribute grower advance payments as needed.
  • Run and produce grower reports
    • Grower Analysis Reports
    • Lot Liquidation Reports
    • Fiber Expense Reports
  • Occasionally Support and maintain all correspondence and compliance documents inter-company drives.    

 

QA Department Activities

  • Provide current and updated information regarding products and sales.
  • Refresh and maintain knowledge of product defects and QA issues that pertain to each commodity.
  • Provide product quality feedback as it aligns to current sales expectations.
  • Train and provide guidance to inter-departments on grower communication and upcoming products.
  • Willing to take extra steps and/or time necessary to ensure follow-through on details for customers/ growers.
  • Provide positive constructive feedback interdepartmentally in addressing issues that might occur while order taking, picking and or communicating with customers/growers.
  • Provide after-hours phone support as needed.

 

Admin Duties

  • General data entry of products, customer orders and inventory.
  • Answer all customer/ grower inquiries via phone, text, email and in person.
  • Print out requested reports and invoicing for customers and growers.
  • Print out tags and labels for product boxes, backup.

  

Peripheral Duties: 

  • Support/ backup Sales, QA and Grower Managers with administrative duties to include follow up with customer/ grower order placement and suggestive products or services.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Agriculture background a plus: little to no experience okay - we will teach you!
  • Bi-lingual Spanish, verbal and written is required.
  • Prior customer service experience helpful, but not required
  • Must be detail oriented and analytical
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs ocassionally
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment at 36 - 40 degrees
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment by following all safety practices and food safety procedures
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
  • Basic math skills , counting

Supplemental Information

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
